Apartment & Housing Registration

Apartment, Housing Unit or Office Purchase or Sale Registration Transaction

 

Required Documents:

  1. Original document.
  2. Final approval for sale in layers and apartments system.
  3. Survey plan.
  4. Copy of passport or ID card, provided it is valid (for non-Bahrainis).

 

Transaction Fees:

  • The property purchase fees are determined based on the date of application submission during the allowed period for registering the sale contract (one year). They amount to 1.7% of the property value if the application is submitted within 60 days from the contract date, and 2% if submitted after 60 days from the contract date.
  • A fee of one dinar for the registration form for each transaction copy of the apartment survey certificate (office or residential unit).

 

Registration Obstacles:

  • A reservation letter or a registration mark placed by the courts.
  • A property reservation letter from the courts under the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs preventing property transactions (registration mark), which is noted in the records of the Survey and Land Registration Authority.
  • Submission of the notarized contract more than one year after its notarization.

 

Note: During the submission of the application, if necessary, any document other than those mentioned must be provided.
