Sales Registration
Property Sale & Purchase Registration Transaction
Required Documents:
- Original document
- Original notarized sales contract
- Copy of passport or ID card (validity should not have expired) for non-Bahrainis
Transaction Fees:
- The property purchase fee is determined based on the application submission date during the allowed period for registering the sales contract (one year). It is calculated at 1.7% of the property value if the application is submitted within 60 days from the contract notarization date, and 2% of the property value if submitted after 60 days from the notarization date.
- A registration form fee of one Bahraini Dinar per transaction.
Registration Obstacles:
- A court reservation letter regarding the property from the courts under the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs, indicating non-disposition of the property (encumbrance), which is noted in the records of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau.
- Submission of the notarized contract after one year from its notarization.
- Issuance of a decision by the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture prior to property ownership registration.
Note:
- Copies of the mentioned documents and requirements must be submitted when applying for electronic registration.
- The sales contract must not have been executed for more than one year from the notarization date.
